New Life Small Groups
Fostering personal growth in Christ
New Life Church has several small groups where we regularly study topics in more depth than is possible in a Sunday service. We believe that participation in a smaller, relaxed, and more intimate group setting which is focused on learning about specific topics is a vital ingredient of personal spiritual growth. We believe that participation in a small group is an important means by which we may continually grow in our knowledge and understanding of Christ and His will for our lives by learning from His Word. We encourage you to check out our groups and participate in one (or more) that is right for you!

Topic: Love & Respect by Dr. Emerson Eggerichs
Psychological studies affirm it, and the Bible has been saying it for ages. Cracking the communication code between husband and wife involves understanding one thing: that unconditional respect is as powerful for him as unconditional love is for her. It’s the secret that every couple seeks, and yet few couples ever find. This series will be led by Ron Heise.

Topic: The Gospel in Life by Tim Keller
This is an 8-week video-based study on how the gospel is lived out in everyday life. We will discuss how the gospel can change our hearts, our community and the way that we live and interact with the world. This study covers a wide range of topics, including how the gospel affects our witness and our work. It begins with a look at our home now – the world, and the final study looks at the world to come – our heavenly home.

Topic: What Is Reformed Theology? by R.C. Sproul
New Life is PCA and we all know that. But did you ever wonder whyNew Life is Presbyterian and not something else? After all, Christians everywhere are part of one big body of Christ, right? So what makes us different from some other fellowships? We are part of a tradition which holds to what is commonly called Reformed theology. You’ve probably heard of Reformed theology but you’re not sure what it is. And you want a full, understandable explanation, not a simplistic one. This small group study will focus on what Reformed doctrine is and how its distinctives center around God’s amazing grace as revealed in Christ. So come explore with us the encouraging, God-centered world of Reformed theology and find out what the Pin PCA is all about!

Topic: Parables of Jesus by John White
Jesus told parables to brilliantly illustrate important truths about the Kingdom of God. Accustomed to preaching to a crowd with a wide range of understanding and attitudes, he based each parable on common, everyday events that made up first-century life. This study introduces you to several of Jesus’ parables and their application for us today. The parables of Jesus demand crucial response from us and re-align us to the values and centrality of the Kingdom of God in our hearts and lives. Some of the parables we will study together include: Parable of the Sower; The “Lost” parables; The Widow and the Judge; Parable of the Talents; and The Rich Man and Lazarus.

Men's Impact Groups
Have you ever seen the old Army recruiting commercial called “An Army of One?” Many men in the modern church probably engage in spiritual battle feeling like they are an army of one. Our impact groups are designed to help us encourage each other in what it means to be the church the way Jesus designed it to be. What’s involved? Two or three men meet for coffee (or something more substantial). We encourage one another to grow in our relationships with God, our families, and in our personal lives. Our goal is to be the kind of men that can truly bring glory to God with everything that He has called us to be and to do. Once in a while all the men meet together at Perkins or somewhere else just to focus on some practical things we can do in our times together – whether it is a book we can read and discuss or something from someone’s spiritual toolbox that really helps us stay focused on Christ when the going gets tough.
